Lighthearted Leaves and Bordering Blooms

We are still experiencing summer here in Oregon, in fact tomorrow is to be in the 90s.  Even though summer is in the air autumn is around the corner.

Today I am sharing Lighthearted Leaves and Bordering Blooms stamp sets from Stampin' Up!  Such lovely sets that really show off autumn colors.  To color the images I used Stampin' Write markers Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Old Olive.

To make this card you will need:

  • Stamp sets - Lighthearted Leaves and Bordering Blooms
  • Ink pad (I used Early Espresso)
  • Stampin' Write Markers
  • Woodlands Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Crush Curry
  • Very Vanilla card stock cut as follows:  (2) 5 1/4" x 4" pieces, 5 1/4" x 1" and, a 3" x 3" piece
Instructions
  • Fold the 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Crush Curry in half to form the card base.
  • Stamp the large leaf from Lighthearted Leaves on the 3" x 3" piece of Very Vanilla.
  • Stamp the large leaf in the right lower corner of one of the 5 1/4" x 4" pieces.  Don't stamp the full leaf, just a portion of the leaf.  This is for the inside of the card.
  • Stamp the whimsical flower border from Bordering Blooms on the 5 1/4" x 1" piece of Very Vanilla.
  • Stamp the greeting "Believe" on the lower portion 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Very Vanilla then place inside the embossing folder and run through the Big Shot.
  • Color in the leaf and whimsical flowers with markers or use colored pencils.
  • Cut out the leaf using the large leaf framelits.
  • Attach the dry embossed Very Vanilla panel to the card base.
  • Attach the whimsical flower piece to the Very Vanilla panel.
  • Attach the leaf with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Attach the inside piece to the inside of the card base.

Isn't this a fun card?  Hope you liked it!  Thanks for stopping by!
