Butterfly Basics and Watercolor Wings

What do you do when you need a card in a hurry?

When I need a card in a hurry I look through my stash of cards for ideas. Then I either:
  • Recreate a card I've already made that is easy to make,
  • Use the same layout but change the main image, or
  • Change up the card a tab bit - like I did with this card.
Notice I didn't say, "I look through my stash and use it."  I have the hardest time parting with my cards!

I have chosen two of my all time favorite butterfly stamp sets for this card:  Butterfly Basics and Watercolor Wings.  I also used Gorgeous Grunge again.  In July I made a card very similar to this, but I have changed up the colors to achieve a more fall theme to the card; used a different small butterfly center and added a rhinestone to the butterfly; and added a strip of silver glimmer paper.  The greeting is also different.

Here's the card from my July post:

And here's the card I made in a hurry!

As you can see the layout and use of stamps are basically the same.  With changing just a few elements this card has its own look and feel to it.

Thanks for stopping by!
