A Walk Down Memory Lane - Nuts About You and Walk In the Wild

What a Walk - Nuts About You

If you are like me you have a lot of favorite Stampin' Up! stamps that are retired.  I was looking for just the right stamp set to make a gift card holder for someone whose home burnt to the ground in one of the wildfires we had here in Oregon.  After searching through my stash I remembered I had Nuts About You - it's a former hostess set from Stampin' Up!

I just love the little possums.  They added some cheer to a sad situation.

I had a lot of fun making this gift card holder.  I fussy cut each of the leaves and the possums and then adhered them with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The upper branch is from the set Take Care which is also retired.

When you lift the top of this gift card holder it exposes the area you attach the gift card to with double sided tape or another adhesive.

This layout would work on a card also.

Can you tell me the color name of the retired card stock I used.  Leave me your guess in the comments below.

Walk in the Wild - What a Great Memory!

Walk in the Wild is the perfect set to make a card for the guy in your life when you are reflecting on some unforgettable memories!

The elk was stamped on Whisper White card stock.  I cut out a portion of the antlers then slipped the Deco Labels Collection Framelits die behind the antlers and around the elk prior to running the paper through the Big Shot.  I think this technique is called "break out"

This fancy fold card style is one of my favorites.

I love the way we can use some of the new stamps sets with those that have retired. I paired the Walk in the Wild set up with the new a set from the Stampin' Up! holiday catalog - Wonderland.   Don't you think it coordinates well?

Thank you for walking down memory lane with me today.  Until next time, happy stamping!
