My last post said I wasn’t ready to move on from fall
cards, but when I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Christmas Bauble
stamp from Stampin’ Up! Once I chose my
color scheme, I knew I wanted to have some sparkle with this project!
This card was very easy to assemble and it didn’t take
long to make. I love to color so I
started with the bauble and colored it with Blendabilities using the Night of
Navy Assortment and Cherry Cobbler Assortment.
Since I wanted a lighter shade of the Night of Navy to layer my design
on, next I sponged the 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White card stock with Night of Navy
ink. I die cut the picture frame from the On Film Framelits using a piece of
the Silver Foil Sheet. The strips behind
the Christmas Bauble are from the Silver Foil Sheet and some Silver Glimmer
Paper, and the ribbon is Red 1/8” Taffeta Ribbon. I did emboss the foil strips with the winter
designed Delicate Designs Textured Impressions folder.
Holiday Home - Pals Paper Arts PPA226
I am excited at this moment for two reasons. One is because I get to share a masculine card I made using the Holiday Home stamp set from Stampin’ Up! with you. My inspiration came from a color challenge at Pals Paper Arts. The challenge is to use the colors Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, and Soft Suede, all rich, earthy, fall colors.
The other reason I am excited is because I am getting ready to offer PDFs for some of the cards I make. I am finishing up the details and hope to have them posted in the next few days. This card will be in the first group of PDFs I will be offering, and the all cards in the first group of PDFs will be made with the Holiday Home stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Stay tuned for the details!
If you enjoyed this card, please leave a comment – I’d love to hear from you.
