I decided to play along with the Sunday Stamps challenge
this week. I love their sketch.
For this card I choose to use the stamp set Summer
Silhouettes from Stampin’ Up! which is a favorite of mine.
To make the background on the main image I used a brayer
and first applied Blushing Bride and then Melon Mambo. I also sponged Old Olive in the corner. The flowers stems and leaves were created using Old Olive
ink and the flowers "petals" were created using Melon Mambo. The Designer Series Paper is from English Garden DSP.
For added interest I used the
small butterfly stamp in the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.
After stamping the butterfly image on Whisper White paper with Tempting Turquoise
ink I punched it out with the Bitty Butterfly punch and affixed it with a
Stampin’ Dimensionals. I wanted to brighten up the card so I used a
gel pen to add some sparkle!
Simply beautiful! Your sponging is fantastic and I love the colors. Thanks for joining us at Sunday Stamps, hope to see you again soon!
