Welcome to
another fabulous Wacky Watercooler Blog Hop! Our theme this time is “March
Madness”. Some of our participants have
been experiencing frigid weather, while others have had sunshine and flowers –
thus our cold weather friends have gone mad! (Us fair weathered friends too! LOL!)
I’ve been one of the lucky participants that has had spring
weather arrive with daffodils blooming and new growth sprouting all over. Our fruit trees are in blossom which is a
delight to see. We each will be sharing with you one
of our favorite special folds, so be sure to look for your favorite fold to
CASE!

Before we get started, I just want to remind you, this is a circular Blog Hop. That means that wherever you begin, if you continue to go to the “next” person on the list, you will eventually wind up right where you first started. You will find the “next” button (and the “previous” button – if you want to go backwards) at the end of this post. The “home” button will give you a listing of all participating blogs.
If you've been moving forward through the blog hop, you'll just have seen the wonderful and fun creations by the very fabulous Gail Allen from Sechelt, BC, Canada.

Do you need an idea for a gift? How about a gift card? I personally love gift cards or money for
someone who I know loves to shop or is hard to buy for. My first punch art project was made with the Mini
Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and basic punches.
After die cutting out the Mini Treat Bag I decorated the
front of the holder as I would a card to add interest to it, even though it
works as an “envelope” for the gift card holder. The branch is from a stamp in the A Happy Thing, Sale-A-Bration set. I used
markers to ink and color in the branch portion of the stamp - it worked perfectly
for holding the baby swinging in the tree.
Punch art made the baby and
blanket. To make the clouds in the sky I
punched out a piece using a Scallop Circle Punch and used it as a mask to make
clouds as I sponged in the sky.
I love masculine cards and my favorite go to stamp set for a
masculine card is The Open Sea. The background is the World Map which I colored
in with markers. The frame is a
Framelits die from On Film. The ship was stamped twice because I wanted
it to be 3D. I hand cut out the sails…I
know a lot of fussy cutting, but I love details!
And now.... my fancy fold card. My last project is an easel card. I have had the Yee-Haw stamp set
for some time and had not used it so I pulled it off the shelf and got to
work. More fussy cutting! The background was made using the Hardwood stamp,
with more cutting!
I guess I do have a little madness
going on….cutting, cutting, cutting!
So
there you have it! I hope you liked my creations. Please leave a
comment to let me know you were here – I love reading your messages!

Marie, each of your projects is amazing! But, the Open Sea card is a show stopper! I have to do the ship that way now.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Gail. I absolutely love the Open Sea card.
ReplyDeleteThe baby card is just too cute and I really like Yee Haw. I have been sitting on the fence about that stamp set and now I guess I should just bite the bullet and get it.
Your chubby baby punch art is too stinkin' cute, Marie! Great card & gift card holder. I'm blown away by your fussy cutting of the sails on the ship - absolutely amazing! Now I'll have to get that set, just so I can do that too! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYour ship card is amazing! I love the Yee Haw card too! That's the same fold I used- I just didn't know what it was called!
ReplyDeleteWhile all of your projects are wonderful I LOVE the Open Sea card!
ReplyDeleteYour projects are awesome! I like them all.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder I've been reading about how hard you all have been working! These cards are so amazing and full of details. Those babies--what a cute set! And look at all the time you took to create the background for the Open Seas card. It's one of the most lovely uses of that set I've seen. Then there's Yee Haw; so many details on it. It's a real pleasure to go through the hop and see your projects.
ReplyDeleteHi Marie, I'm so glad you felt well enough to take part in the blog hop. Your projects are simply "WOW"! The baby punch art is adorable. The easel card, with the Yee Haw stamp set makes me want that set. What a great card you created with all those various elements. And the colours really make it come alive.
ReplyDeleteYour fancy fold, the easel card, is the star of your post. I love the Open Sea stamp set and love seeing the way others have used it. I must try your idea with the sails. Beautiful! The whole ship has such a presence. I can see that I'm going to lose my fussy-cutting "crown".
Marie, I really enjoyed the yeehaw card and the way you cut out the sails on the ship. Your attention to details is amazing.
ReplyDeleteAmazing punch art of the baby. That ship is wonderful. Congratulations! Beautiful choice of colours too.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, Marie! Love that little chubby baby punch art!
ReplyDeleteIt would be hard to say which of these projects I like the best. I truly am impressed and love them all. They're all show stoppers in the true sense of the word, and your attention to detail and colour mix are amazing. Take a bow Marie, well done!
ReplyDeleteGreat projects, Marie! Love The Open Sea card.
