Today I am sharing a vintage take on the challenge #192 over at the Friday Mashup! blog.
The challenge this week is:
- Create a project with a “Embossing Folder Stamping Technique”
- Create a project with “Mix & Matched Shapes”.
- or Mash it Up! and create a “project using the technique with different shapes”.
I think the butterfly in this set really has a vintage feel to it.
The Embossing Folder Stamping Technique is so easy to do. This is how I did it.
- Ink up one side of your embossing folder anyway you want. Daubers, straight from ink pad, brayer…
- Spritz inked side with water. Make sure you use enough water to lift the ink into the paper. Depending on what side of your folder you ink will depend on the print outline. The side with the logo will be a broader print and the other side will be a finer lined print.
- Next lay the watercolor paper on the folder, close the embossing folder and press gently.
- Open the folder and gently lift your paper straight up.
- Set aside to dry.
