Butterflies - Punched

Several years ago my husband and I sold our home and built a new home on adjoining property. We had a wisteria bush at the home we sold that had been his mothers. This last week-end our sweet neighbor had the plant divided and brought us a large portion of the plant. I’ve replanted it, hoping it survives the transplant. If it does my husband will be so happy, and I will be happy to have such a beautiful plant! I’m hoping it attracts some butterflies!

The card I am sharing today is a very quick and simple card. Minimum stamping, a few quick punches, a run through the big shot, and if you want to and some paper piercing, you are almost done!

To make this card:

Cardstock sizes you will need:

• 11” x 4 ¼” piece of your choice of colored card stock for card base
• 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White paper
• 2” x 3 ¼” Whisper White paper
• 2” x 2” Designer Paper of your choice
• 1” x 2 ½” Designer Paper of your choice

1. Using the Everything Eleanor stamp set from Stampin” Up!, stamp the frame image in the upper left hand section of the 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White paper.
2. Punch out the large butterfly using the Elegant Butterfly punch in the lower right hand corner at an angle on the 5 ¼” x 4 piece. Make sure to have the punched image of the butterfly high enough on the paper if you want to do paper piercing around it.
3. Pierce around the punched out area of the butterfly using the butterfly in the Occasions Paper Piercing pack.
4. Emboss the 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White paper using the Large Polka Dot embossing folder. (This is one of my favorite embossing folders!)
5. Stamp your greeting on the 2” x 3 ¼” Whisper White paper.
6. Cut out the greeting using the same shaped frame from Apothecary Accents.
7. Punch out two butterflies using the Bitty Butterfly punch from the 1” x 2 ½” Designer Paper of your choice.
8. Adhere the 2” x 2” Designer Paper on to the 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White paper behind the punched out butterfly.
9. Fold the card base.
10. Adhere the piece of 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White paper to card base.
11. Adhere the greeting piece onto the stamped frame image using dimensionals.
12. Shape the 2 small butterflies as desired with a bone folder and adhere to 5 ¼” x 4” Whisper White paper.
13. Shape the larger butterfly as desired with a bone folder and adhere over the punched out area.
14. Color Pearl Basic Jewels with your choice of Blendabilities and let dry.
15. Add pearls to the butterflies.
