Petite Petals

A late night creation!  The Petite Petals are so much fun to work with.  They're just the right size to layer and make a bouquet!  I love them in Pool Party, so soft and delicate.  And, don't you love the designer series paper from the Sweet Sorbet series!  Gotta love that black with blue!

I have enjoyed the cards I've seen on the web using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and decided to try my hand at it.  I altered the card from what I've seen by cutting down the piece that makes the closure and added a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 black card base.  I also made the card "landscaped" verses "portrait".

Supplies (Stampin' Up!)

Stamps:  Petite Petals; Springtime Hello
Paper:  Pool Party; Pear Pizzazz Whisper White; Black; DSP Sweet Sorbet
Ink: Stazon Black; Pool Party
Accessories Bird Builder Punch; Scallop Scalloped Tag Topper Punch; Circle Collection Frame Lits; Big Shot; Basic Jewel Pearl; Stampin' Dimensionals; Black Sharpie
You can find all the items to make this card at my demonstrator website

I stepped up this card and added an additional layer on part of the inside of the card using the Hexagon Hive Thinlite Die.  What do you think?

  1. Very pretty! In regards to your last question, I like the way the extra black makes the card pop ... but the hexagon format looks like a soccer ball. Or maybe I'm just a soccer mom ..
